It Pays to serve the Lord
It pays to serve the Lord. I don't mean God is standing there with a financial paycheck waiting to distribute because you simply obeyed him. Read Psalm 103. It is one of my favorite Psalms. The psalmist implores us by writing in verse 2, "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all all his benefits." I pray this Psalm aloud and declare to the spiritual forces that my God has done all these things for me. Think about it; through God's love, and Jesus obedience and Love for us our sins are forgiven, diseases healed, life is redeemed from the pit, we are crowned with love and compassion. We are also satisfied with good things, our youth is renewed, the Lord is working righteousness on our behalf and the Lord is slow to get angry and is compassionate and loving toward us. God is all that toward us because he loves us. God likes us! God did this for us before we were physically born on the face of this earth. Psalm 103:12-13 "as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him." The Lord has compassion on us and our sins are forgiven. What a blessed glorious thing. Today read Psalm 103 out loud and declare to the spiritual forces that God has you protected and blessed. I am thankful. Howard's Helpful Hint: Centered people focus on the Lord and thank him for his blessings.
